Aviation Business Development Team

Ryan Both was appointed Executive General Manager of Aviation for Brisbane Airport in February 2022.

Ryan is responsible for all operational and commercial activities of the aviation business, including airfield and terminal operations, commercial agreements, business development and marketing.

Ryan has more than 20 years’ experience in the aviation industry with airlines and airports, including Melbourne Airport, Virgin Australia and as CEO of contract aviation group Cobham Australia.

In these roles Ryan was responsible for the Qantas B717 fleet, Fly-In-Fly-Out services to remote mining sites and express overnight air-freight operations for Australia Post.

Ryan has also held commercial leadership positions at Virgin Australia, Melbourne Airport and Embraer’s zero emission aircraft company Eve Air Mobility.

He has a passion for digital transformation, leveraging real-time data, automation and AI to free up great people to add value and make better operational and investment decisions.

Ryan holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Adelaide, where he is an Alumni Fellow, and has completed the full-time residential General Management Program at Harvard Business School. As an experienced company director, Ryan is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

Vickey is the Vice President of Aviation Business Development. She oversees carriers in China, Southeast Asia, and Hong Kong, conducting case studies, business analysis, and contract negotiations. Her role involves liaising with airlines, external partners, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration. Vickey also focuses on route planning and market analysis to optimise routes and identify new opportunities.

Vickey has been in various roles in the aviation industry for over eight years in Australia and joined BAC in early 2023. Her key responsibilities include conducting studies to provide strategic insights, securing agreements with airline carriers, coordinating between airlines, partners, and internal teams, and developing strategies to enhance market presence and efficiency.
